The design of the station’s new architectural concept and the artistic surfaces were mostly defined by the location and the above-ground building. Among the attributes, transformation, and ongoing changes of the historical site, the most prominent permanent element is the nearby green oasis Füvészkert, whose original boundary was situaed along Szigony Street. Another defining element was the building itself, which carries the characteristics of Brutalist architecture with its considerable sense of mass and puritanism. The new concept incorporates a yellow colour that refers back to the original design and pairs it with vegetation, reminiscent of Brutalist buildings. This combination, along withthe playful organic plant symbols, counterbalances the coolness of form andmaterial, creating a pleasant atmosphere that softens the industrial environment dictated by its function. They fit well with the surrounding healthcare infrastructure: they radiate peace and calmness for those seeking healing.
